Driving from Seattle

Via Snoqualmie/Blewett passes (3 hours average/173 miles) — From I-5, take I-90 east. Take the 2nd Cle Elum to Wenatchee exit. Head north on Highway 97 and then get on Hwy 2 heading toward Wenatchee to the east. Off of Highway 2, take the exit for East Wenatchee/Spokane. Then take the Lake Chelan exit onto Highway 97 Alternate.

Via Steven Pass (3 hours average/166 miles) — From Seattle, head north on I-405. Take the Monroe/Wenatchee exit. Continue to Monroe and get on Highway 2, heading east. Stay on the highway until you get to the Wenatchee area, then take the exit for East Wenatchee/Spokane. Then take the Lake Chelan exit onto Highway 97 Alternate.

Driving from Spokane

Via McNeil Canyon (2.5 hours average/153 miles) — Take Highway 2 west to Coulee City. Continue west to Highway 17. Drive north on Highway 17 to Highway 172. Drive through Mansfield. Following signs to Lake Chelan, continue to McNeil Canyon/Beebe Bridge Park. Taking a right on Highway 97, cross Beebe Bridge. Take an immediate left after crossing the Columbia River over the Beebe Bridge. Highway 150 becomes Woodin Avenue in downtown Chelan.

Via Pine Canyon (3 hours average/173 miles) — On Highway 2, head west to Highway 97. Continue north on Highway 97, then take an immediate left after crossing the Columbia River over Beebe Bridge. Highway 150 becomes Woodin Avenue into downtown Chelan.

Driving from northwest Washington

Via North Cascades Highway (Average 4.5 hours/191 miles) — From Burlington, take exit for Highway 20 off of I-5. Continue east on Highway 20 to Winthrop. Head south on Highway 153. Continue south on Highway 97. Take Chelan exit, onto Highway 97 Alternate.

Driving from Portland

Via I-5 (5.5 hours average/320 miles) — Head north on I-5. In the Auburn area, take Highway 14 heading east. Get on I-90 and head east. Take the 2nd Cle Elum to Wenatchee exit. Head north on Highway 97 and then get on Highway 2 heading toward Wenatchee to the east. Off of Highway 2, take the exit for East Wenatchee/Spokane. Then take the Lake Chelan exit onto Highway 97 Alternate.

Via I-84/Columbia River Gorge (5 hours average/290 miles) — Head east on I-84 until you come to Biggs Junction. Take Exit 104 and get on Highway 97 and head north into Washington state. When you reach Yakima, Highway 97 becomes I-82 until it reaches the Ellensburg area. Once you reach Ellensburg area, get on I-90 and head west for three miles before taking Exit 106 to Wenatchee. Continue north on Highway 97 over Blewett Pass and then get on Highway 2 heading toward Wenatchee to the east. Off of Highway 2, take the exit for East Wenatchee/Spokane. Then take the Lake Chelan exit onto Highway 97 Alternate.

Bus

LINK Transit connects the Lake Chelan Valley multiple times daily with Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Cashmere, Leavenworth, Entiat and Waterville. Catch the bus from Wenatchee to Chelan at Columbia Station in Wenatchee. These LINK buses also are able to carry bicycles.
